Mamaroneck and Larchmont Moratorium on Residential Construction Projects

To Raze or not to Raze?

Mamaroneck’s 3 month moratorium for major construction projects in residential neighborhoods has come to an end.  The town board on December 16, 2015 placed the 3 month moratorium that started on January 1st, 2016 and ended on March 31, 2016.  The reason for the 3 month moratorium was driven by neighbors who were claiming that the heavy construction was causing damage to their homes and property.  The 3 month break also gave town board members a chance to review the local zoning laws.

For further questions please visit the Town of Mamaroneck Building Department.

Larchmont is also considering the same sort of moratorium so village officials can have a chance to review their local zoning codes.  If you have any questions related to your building project please contact the Village of Larchmont Building Department.
